All Packaging Company is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. 75 years ago, in 1935, Nathan and Rubin Goldstein started a company in Kansas City known as Goldstein Brothers Bag and Basket Company. They would pick up bushels baskets, burlap bags and fruit crates from the various mom and pop grocery stores in existence at that time, and take them to the city market to sell to farmers and produce growers in the Midwest. The produce container business was good to the brothers for almost two decades, but as synthetic material, such as plastic, began to arrive on the scene, they realized the need to expand into other areas of packaging. In the early 1950’s, they began buying and selling overrun, misprint and used corrugated boxes. With this they added some new stock boxes and thus began their move into the corrugated box business. In the 1970’s, the company, now known as Kansas City Carton Company, began to produce new custom plain and printed corrugated boxes. In 1981, with the acquisition of All Packaging Company, a setup box manufacturer, the company expanded into a full line of stock and custom packaging. Over the years, many other packaging items such as tape, bubble wrap, stretch wrap, padded mailers, poly bags and far too many others to list were added to make All Packaging Company truly a “one stop shop” for ALL one’s PACKAGIING needs.
